Summer House’s Kyle Cooke feels betrayed by costar West Wilson’s romance with estranged wife Amanda Batula.

“West kinda positioned himself, very conveniently, to be this knight in shining armor for women — standing up for Amanda, checking me — I watched that, and for him to say what he said in his confessional and double down on Watch What Happens [Live With Andy Cohen], I was like, something's up,” Cooke, 43, told journalist Adam Glyn in a Thursday, April 2, TikTok video, while recalling how Wilson, 31, criticized his relationship with Batula, 34.

Cooke continued, “He basically threw his friendship with me away in one clean swoop. That’s when the wheels started turning in terms of, wait a minute, all these rumors. What happened to bro code?"

Cooke and Batula announced in January that they had separated after four years of marriage, months after season 10 of Summer House was filmed. As the show currently airs, fans have watched the cracks in their marriage — including Cooke’s outburst when he cursed out Batula, which Wilson publicly scolded.

“The female audience is going to drag me, as they should. I didn't need him to pile on like he did. There’s a lot to unpack,” Cooke said on Thursday of Wilson’s remarks. "West is smart enough to know who the audience is, and he knows, clearly, what to say to women to win them over.”

“Everyone's like, 'Oh my god. Look at his redemption arc!' And he was just piling on strategically, for sure," Cooke continued, claiming that Wilson made him look “even worse” with “some of his comments” about their romance. "He made it sound like I was yelling at my wife. I said what I said, which was disgusting, under my breath. I regret it, I apologized, but I didn’t need to be kicked by another dude on the show who is literally playing women.”

Cooke explained that he’s “still processing how to even confront” Wilson. “I think that a lot of people don't understand how close we were," Cooke said, before citing times when the pair traveled together. "There's some wild betrayal here."

Rumors began swirling that Batula and Wilson, 31, last month were pursuing a relationship in the wake of his romance with her BFF and Summer House costar Ciara Miller. Batula and Wilson confirmed the speculation days before Cooke’s comments.

"We've seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity," the pair wrote in a joint Instagram Story statement on Tuesday, March 31. "It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it."

"We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected," Amanda and West continued. "Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care."

The statement noted that the twosome “wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling” as their “feelings evolved.”

“We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless,” they wrote. “We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
