Pierce Brosnan is tired of talking about James Bond.
The Thursday Murder Club actor recently shut down a line of questioning about whether or not the superspy, whom he played in four films, would enjoy Christmas.
"Of course he would enjoy Christmas!" Brosnan replied in a new interview with U.K. outlet The Times. The actor then refused to answer a follow-up question about whether Bond's steely demeanor would make him want to avoid the holidays.
"I don't really want to answer the question, and I'm not going to answer the question," Brosnan said. "Because I couldn't give a f---! Why would I waste my time thinking about where James Bond would be at Christmas?"

The actor pivoted to talking about his own Christmas plans. "I know where Pierce Brosnan's going to be spending Christmas!" he said. "At home with my wife, in my little island retreat in Hawaii!"
The Mamma Mia actor later apologized to the Times journalist for balking at the question. "I'm sorry for not being able to help you with James Bond," he said. "It's something that'll go on until the day is done."
Brosnan played Bond in the movies GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day. The actor added that one of his 007 predecessors also got grumpy while fielding questions about the espionage hero after he moved on from the part.
"[Sean] Connery was the same: 'Don't ever ask! Don't ever ask!'" Brosnan said. "But, you know, I'm as excited as the next man or woman to find out who's going to play that role again. It's always exciting. I loved Sean, I loved [former Bond star] Roger [Moore], Daniel [Craig] is amazing, and Tim Dalton was amazing, too.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Brosnan said he hasn't revisited any of his outings as Bond with his sons. "I don't look at the movies," he said. "I've never seen the Bond movies with my boys. I don't know why. They're just tucked away."

However, the actor is open to returning to the 007 franchise in its next installment from Dune filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. "If Villeneuve had something up his sleeve, I would look at it in a heartbeat," Brosnan said in August. "Why not? It's great entertainment. It could be lots of laughs. Bald caps, prosthetics... who knows?"
Brosnan has starred in four movies this year: Steven Soderbergh's spy thriller Black Bag, Richard Gray's Western The Unholy Trinity, the animated faith-based film The King of Kings, and Chris Columbus' The Thursday Murder Club. He also appeared on Paramount+'s MobLand opposite Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren.

Brosnan's next big project is the boxing drama Giant, also starring Amir El-Masry. He's also set to appear in a remake of Cliffhanger with his Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again costar Lily James.
