According to a new report, the Sussexes were hoping to reunite with the media mogul for a second televised sit-down. The timing, according to insiders, is no coincidence.

Harry has been focusing on his charity work in recent months. Meanwhile, Markle has been making media appearances to support her lifestyle brand and other business ventures. As both have returned to the spotlight, sources claimed they saw another high-profile interview as a chance to tell a different story.

“They hoped Oprah might be interested in a fresh chapter about healing,” one media insider told Naughty But Nice. “She isn’t.” According to the same source, Harry allegedly believes his recent attempts to reconnect with his father have shifted the narrative. At the same time, Markle is looking to restore public perception as she continues to expand her brand.

However, Winfrey is said to see little value in reopening that chapter. Another insider alleged that the television host faced “plenty of criticism” after the couple’s explosive 2021 interview. Because of that experience, the source claimed she has “absolutely nothing to gain” from stepping back into the royal conversation.

In fact, the insider suggested she believes the story has already run its course. “As far as she’s concerned, that story has been told,” the source claimed. The report further alleges that Winfrey does not want to be seen as part of the Sussexes’ current publicity efforts. “She’s not going back there,” another insider said. They added that if Harry wants to promote his charity efforts or Markle wants to highlight her products, “that’s their business.”
