Moore, who replaced Anne Hathaway in the 2004 film after the latter dropped out, said, “I’d really just done Princess Diaries and A Walk to Remember, and I was like, ‘This will be fun’… I’d had so much fun doing both of those films… because it was with a lot of other young people. I was like, ‘Oh, this is like summer camp!’”
The actress recalled that her Saved costars, including Jena Malone, Patrick Fugit, Eva Amurri and Culkin, created a fun, tight-knit environment on the set.
“I was like, ‘Oh, I get to sit at the cool kids table with these young Hollywood kids that are making really cool choices, and they’re a part of really great films,’” she said.

And although there was “a little bit of underage drinking” going on, Moore and the young members of the film’s cast didn’t get into any serious trouble.
Culkin, who was of legal drinking age in Canada at the time, took the opportunity to share one of his go-to cocktails with the cast.
Moore recounted, “I think it was Mac — Macaulay — that introduced me and all of us to a White Russian. I was like, ‘Milk and alcohol? This is made for me, I love this! I mean, it’s perfect. This is like ice cream, this is fantastic!’”
Mandy Moore believed acting in ‘Saved’ would bring her more movie offers. MEGA
Speaking of how she felt when she was offered the role of Hilary Faye Stockard in the movie, Moore said, “I just loved the script and the character, and I thought it was really irreverent and funny, and also like gonna move the needle.”
Moore, who found her character “wholly different” from who she was, believed the project would bring her more offers.
She called the film “a crazy, crazy life-changing experience,” adding, “I was like, ‘Oh this is a stretch, and this is unlike anything I’ve done before. So hopefully, very intentionally, this’ll open up a door to other projects,’ like people seeing me and regarding me in a different light.”
