It looks as though Jared Leto's past "jokes" have come back to haunt him.
The 54-year-old once stunned his Suicide Squad co-stars, including Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Cara Delevingne, with eyebrow-raising gifts, including used condoms and anal beads.
In resurfaced footage from a 2016 interview with E! News, the actor revealed he sent the sex toys and used condoms to “everybody” in the cast, and explained that it was all part of his character in the hit movie, the infamous Joker. It comes as he faces public accusations of criminal sexual conduct from four women, with a total of ten women alleging sexual misconduct in a BBC documentary.

“I know it’s a family show, but we can educate people, at least they were used,” he told the stunned interviewer.
“I did a lot of things to create a dynamic,” he said at the time, “to create an element of surprise, spontaneity.”
Jared continued, “And to really break down any walls that may be there. I mean, the Joker is somebody who doesn’t really respect things like personal space or boundaries.”

Cast members had various reactions, though Margot, who played Harley Quinn, wasn’t shocked by the “weird things” she received from the My So-Called Life actor.
“I mean by that point, I kind of felt like I knew the Joker a bit, so I — it wasn’t as alarming,” she told the outlet. “But there were many instances where I didn’t know what to expect with Jared.”
Will, who played Deadshot in the film, noted that Jared had gone “full Joker” with the prank, noting that “the rule is never go full Joker," adding, “He really set the tone [for the character]."
The Men in Black actor went on, “He wasn’t playing with it. He was dead serious as an actor; he was going in …100 percent. And he really jarred the rest of us.”

The resurfaced interview comes amid news that the star has been accused by four women of sexual misconduct when they were teenagers.
It's not the first time Jared has been hit with such allegations, as a year earlier, nine women accused the musician of sexual impropriety in an article published by Air Mail back in June 2025. Jared previously denied those allegations.
The BBC reported on Wednesday, July 29, that the latest allegations, detailed by women using pseudonyms, are presented in the network's new documentary Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret.
He has since spoken out on the allegations, telling The , "I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false."
The Mirror US has previously reached out to Jared's reps regarding the accusations.
