Is Fortnite down?
Yes, the popular Battle Royale game officially went offline at 4 a.m. on Thursday, July 30 for a scheduled update.
Fortnite Status posted on X: "Swing into action with Spider-Man's Web Shooters in non-competitive play, track down new Sprites and variants, unlock new Sprite Mastery rewards and more! Downtime for v41.30 begins at 4 AM ET (8 AM UTC) with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand."
Fortnite's Chapter 7, Season 3 Runners began on June 6 and will run until Aug. 19.

When will Fortnite be back online?
Fortnite should be ready to play again in a few hours. Updates usually last less than than two hours.

What new in the Fortnite update?
In this update, Fortnite will launch a team-up with the Spider-Man "Brand New Day" movie and also bring back The Simpsons in the Reload version of the game.
Some new Sprite variations are reported to include: Gem, Peely, Llama, and Quack Zero Point.
