Fox News viewers are wondering just how tall Donald Trump really is after he was seen walking alongside his daughter-in-law Lara Trump.
The president was interviewed by Lara on Fox News' My View with Lara Trump on Saturday, May 30. During their chat, Lara was given a tour of the White House, with President Trump showing off the Presidential Walk of Fame, a gallery he had installed in September 2025.
Viewers were distracted, however, as Lara towered over her father-in-law during the White House tour. The confusion comes as Lara is only 5 foot 11 inches tall, while President Trump's latest medical report lists him as being 6 feet 3 inches tall.

During the tour, the president bragged, "So this is the Presidential Walk of Fame. George Washington, you have all the presidents down to myself. And this is a brass plaque. The Rose Garden was created over a century ago. In 1903, First Lady Edith Roosevelt established a colonial-style garden along the West Colonnade, West Wing, just outside of the Cabinet Room, which is over there.

"So this is a history of it. I did this. And this is... Most people would put brass on top of a piece of wood and laminate it and then in about two years you'd see the brass falling on the floor, de-laminated."

As he stroked the plaque, President Trump added, "This is, look, solid brass." He walked over to the Presidential Walk of Fame sign and pointed out, "Same thing with this. This is all solid, beautiful solid brass."
The 79-year-old continued, "This is all the presidents and then we make the turn for future presidents, they make the turn and they go up. This granite was just put in, the floor was badly broken. It was slate, slate's not a good flooring material to start off with."
He asked if Lara had seen this before and she admitted, "No, this is first time I've seen the whole thing. You were finishing it last time I was here. It looks beautiful."
As President Trump bragged about his brass, Fox News viewers were distracted by the height difference between him and Lara. "How is she like 6 inches taller than him?" one person asked on X.
Another questioned, "@LaraLeaTrump is 5' 11" so why is she towering over Trump?? Are her shoes over 4 inches tall? I don't think so!" while a third person pointed out, "Lara looks like a giant next to him. If he’s 6’3” (he’s not) then she must be like 6’8” or thereabouts."

Another Fox News viewers joked, "Lara Trump is 5'11", and Trump purports to be 6'2". Is he The Incredible Shrinking Man? If so, I can see why he'd want to get the ballroom finished before he ends up in the basement fighting a battle of wits with a giant spider."
"Lara Trump is 5’11” tall. If she’s wearing 4” heels, that puts her at 6’3” - so why is she visibly taller than 6’3” Donald Trump?" another X user asked before adding, "And she’s probably not wearing 4” heels."
Someone else wrote, "Look how much taller she is. That's crazy. You don't often see women over 6"4," while another person added, "Lara is billed at 5’11. Look at this whittle short king. No wonder he’s always compensating."
