After nine seasons, the beloved NBC workplace comedy, The Office, came to an end in 2013. The show's two-part finale featured Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) and Angela Martin's (Angela Kinsey) wedding. While the couple undeniably had a quirky wedding ceremony, their nuptials were originally going to be a little more violent.

During a November 2025 panel at the FAN EXPO San Francisco 2025, alongside Wilson, Kinsey revealed that her cat-loving character's wedding was supposed to feature quite a few feline friends.

"There was this great scene in the finale that didn't make it in where Angela asks everyone to bring a cat as a gift. And there's a basket of cats and people are putting them in," said Kinsey during the panel. "There's some deleted scenes where Kevin [played by Brian Baumgartner] puts a cat in. And then when they get married, there were supposed to be doves released, but the cats eat all the doves. And like it's just carnage."

She then shared that the scene wasn't filmed because "they couldn't figure out a way to make that happen."

Angela Kinsey Shared Why She Enjoys Dwight & Angela's Unusual Romance

While Angela and Dwight had an unusual and sometimes off-putting romance, Kinsey shared that she had an appreciation for the relationship during the FAN EXPO San Francisco 2025 panel.

"I like that there are these two sort of odd folks that love each other's quirks and also hate each other's quirks," said Kinsey to the audience.

In addition, Kinsey said she made a conscious decision to play Angela like she always had romantic feelings for Dwight, even when they weren't in a relationship.

"I think Angela, she always loved him. And that's how I played all of my scenes, no matter what other romance my character might have been in, that her true love was always Dwight," said Kinsey on the panel.
